Furever Feline Cat Rescue

Mission Statement

To Feed and Care for Feral Cats Innovatively

Furever Felines Cat Rescue (FFCR) will utilize technology & software, digital communications, and creativity to build The Hawk.

The Hawk is a mobile feral cat feeder and monitoring system to feed and care for feral cat communities, humanely reducing TNR populations over time while working with volunteer community cat feeders to minimize the impact of their colonies on the surrounding environment.

Our goals are:

·        To microchip every feral cat and monitor every feral cat colony in the USA.

·        Reduce plastic, paper and tin waste produced by the feral colony feedings.

·        Humanely trap new, sick, or injured cats for transport to a vet.

·        Watch for new cats and try and return them to their owners, working with them to keep the cat.

·        Establish relationships with property owners who have these colonies on their properties so the colonies can be better managed.

Creating Feeding Stations:

FFCR will design and create mobile feral cat feeding stations where volunteers can feed the cats with less time and waste. FFCR can and will rent out space at the location of the colony to help keep the peace with landowners, if needed. This will reduce waste on their properties.

The feeding stations will be self-cleaning. Food will be set up in automatic feeders to dispense as needed.

FFCR will design and create these mobile stations so they can be placed in areas that will keep the feral cats safe.

Feral Community Cat Waste Issues:

Many volunteers feed feral cat communities. The result is much waste. Plastic, paper, and tin food and water containers are left around, blown away by the winds, or they end up as runoff in the rain. We can reduce this waste by 75% or more as we place our feeders.

Feral cat colonies are in some interesting places:

Senior Centers, marinas, and condo complexes all have feral cat issues. If TNR controls the population and the population is treated with respect, it will die out on its own. If there is a need to trap a new cat in the colony or one that needs vet care, we can use the feeders to trap it.

Using technology and good reporting, we can map where colonies exist and their size.
