Ever felt like your cat chose you instead of the other way around? It's a bit like that in the world of animal rescue. Once you dip your toes in, you're in danger of adopting every critter that crosses your path, no matter how snug your abode might be!

*******

But there's something about those feral kitties that just gets you, you know? They wiggle their way into your heart, and suddenly, you find yourself rearranging furniture to make space for one more.

And hey, we're all ears for your story too! Because in this wacky world of whiskers and mischief, every tale is a paw-some addition to the cat-astrophe!

Meet Hallie. My local rescue had called me and asked me to take her in because they thought no one else would. They called her Amelia Earhart due to her ears being back all the time. Hallie hated being touched by humans. She spent 24 hours with me before she met my boy Hank who made her his wife for more than 13 years. They did everything together and were my first bonded pair. When Hank had a stroke, at age 16, we decided that they should pass together as Hallie had no life without him. RIP my babies.

And here is Samantha. We were living in Florida fixing a bunch of outdoor cats neighbors had left behind when they moved. The cats were NOT friendly. I had trapped Sam once already and she came back and got trapped again. At the same time, I was also trapping Jasmine. Both ended up in my home and got set up for transport. Then Covid hit. I paid for Jasmine to get a foster because she was more personable. Sam needed some adjusting. I spent hours upon hours with her and one day I got a head butt. Sam had been won over, finally, and so had I.
